Senior Consultant Job Description

You’ll work directly with senior executives pursuing a new job, board role or stronger visibility to achieve their goals. Clients will look to you for highly personalized coaching, guidance and creation of career materials. You may also be involved with Point Road Group’s corporate client engagements and speaking opportunities, depending on your experience.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, energetic, resourceful and highly professional, who can respectfully challenge and empathically motivate and advise accomplished executives. If you’re a self-starter who thinks strategically and is incredibly detailed-oriented, you’ll excel. We’re a company that practices what we preach, so it’s also critical to your success are your own virtual presence and personal brand.

What you’ll do

  • Meet with individual executives and corporate clients remotely (and in person in the future, depending on your location).
  • Write executive resumes, LinkedIn profiles and bios from scratch.
  • Provide coaching & tailored advice to individuals looking for a new job (e.g., career strategy, best practices for a job search, networking, interviewing, offer negotiation etc.).
  • Provide personal branding guidance & coaching to those seeking increased professional visibility to drive business success.
  • Provide virtual presence guidance & coaching to those wanting to strengthen how they conduct business online.
  • Network strategically to elevate your own credibility and visibility.
Requirements

These are absolute must-haves. If you do not meet these requirements, we will not consider your application.

  • Strong experience writing executive level resumes & LinkedIn profiles from scratch.
  • Substantial knowledge of LinkedIn (and a personal profile that reflects it).
  • Comfortable coaching executives
  • Present well on-screen
  • Significant knowledge of job search & career advancement best practices.
  • Highly detail-oriented & organized.
  • Minimum 2+ years of directly relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with executives seeking board roles.
  • Experience leading presentations and workshops.
  • Recruiting, human resources, leadership development or marketing experience.

This is a remote position with some flexibility in working hours. Please note this is a part-time role and not a salaried position.

Digital Marketing Associate Job Description

If you have a passion for social media and email marketing, along with some real-world experience doing it, then we’d love to have you on our team!

This position provides the opportunity to have a direct impact on marketing and work with a highly collaborative team at a growing firm. While the role initially focuses on social media (particularly LinkedIn) and email marketing, there’s opportunity for growth if your efforts drive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain weekly social media calendar for LinkedIn, Twitter and Google Business.
  • Write/post original content & identify/post external content.
  • Manage post engagement.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly metrics and make recommendations based on insights.
  • Coordinate LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
  • Set up and manage monthly newsletter and email campaigns (including drafting selected content), analyze metrics and make recommendations based on insights.

Requirements

  • Extremely detail oriented, organized and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient with LinkedIn, Twitter and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Hootsuite and MailChimp.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Minimum 1 year of directly relevant work experience.

This is a remote position with some flexibility in working hours. Compensation is hourly and current estimate is for 5-8 hours/week.

Digital Marketing Intern Job Description

If you love digital marketing, want to learn more about it and then immediately apply what you learn, then you’re a great fit for Point Road Group! This internship provides a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on our marketing initiatives and work with a highly collaborative team at a growing firm. You’ll have a chance to learn and hone a variety of marketing, branding and communications skills. And the more capability and initiative you show, the more areas you can get involved in!

Responsibilities

  • Analyze website metrics and make recommendations based on insights.
  • Contribute to website improvements.
  • Perform keyword research to improve website SEO.
  • Conduct long tail keyword research for blog posts.
  • Assist with event marketing and live remote events.
  • Support various other marketing initiatives.
  • Improve and manage content archive & video/image gallery.

Requirements

  • Extremely detail oriented, organized and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient with LinkedIn and Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics is helpful.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Previous experience in digital marketing and/or communications is preferred.
  • (For academic credit only) current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program required, as well as adherence to the institution’s policies and procedures, to obtain course credit for internship.

This is a remote position with flexibility in working hours. The internship is unpaid, but may be eligible for academic credit at the discretion of your school.
