Senior Consultant Job Description

The Senior Consultant position is a part-time client-facing role at Point Road Group, a global personal branding firm. We’re a small, highly collaborative team and love what we do. We work remotely but make a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together. 

If you enjoy advising & coaching C-Suite executives and producing resumes & LinkedIn profiles (particularly for those seeking board seats), then you’ll be a great addition to our team. Imagine how much stronger your personal brand will be by working with us too! 

It’s also critical that you have an understanding of the board of directors’ space and familiarity with what makes a resume, bio and LinkedIn profile board-relevant.  

Our team practices what we preach, so your LinkedIn profile (and resume) should reflect the type of work you produce.  

What you’ll do

  • Provide personal branding & executive presence guidance to clients to drive visibility and business success 
  • Partner with our senior resume writer to produce highly effective resumes, LinkedIn profiles & bios from scratch 
  • Advise executives on best practices for optimizing their personal brands when pursuing board seats 
  • Coach executives on job search strategies & tactics
  • Build client relationships and track results

What you must have to be considered

  • 1-2 years of experience formally advising C-suite & senior executives 
  • Experience producing C-level resumes & LinkedIn profiles 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of LinkedIn 
  • Familiarity with the board of directors’ space
  • Strong understanding of career advancement best practices  
  • Strong business writing skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree

If you’re an expert at writing C-Suite executive resumes and LinkedIn profiles from scratch, then you’d be a great addition to our team!

What you’ll do

  • Partner with PRG senior consultants to produce superior career materials for executives seeking C-suite positions and/or board seats 
  • Write resumes, LinkedIn profiles & bios from scratch
  • Support executives across varied job functions and industries 
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with materials at various stages in production 

What you must have to be considered

  • 1-2 years of experience writing executive-level corporate resumes & LinkedIn profiles from scratch (editing experience does not suffice) 
  • 1-2 years of experience writing board resumes & board bios (if you don’t have this experience, you will not be considered or responded to) 
  • Substantial knowledge of LinkedIn 
  • Knowledge of career advancement best practices

Digital Marketing Intern Job Description

Do you love digital marketing and want hands on experience to learn more? Then read on to learn more! 

The Digital Marketing Internship is a remote position at Point Road Group, a personal branding firm that helps companies make better brand impressions through their people. It’s a unique opportunity for experiential learning with various aspects of digital marketing that directly impact our initiatives. 

We’re a small, highly collaborative team that works remotely but makes a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together. We also love what we do and lead by example to help our interns with personal branding and career development. 

You’ll have a chance to learn and hone a variety of marketing, branding and communications skills while receiving supportive guidance to drive success. And the more capability and initiative you show, the more areas you can get involved in! 

If you are detail oriented, well organized and enjoy thinking both creatively and analytically, then you’re a great fit for this internship! 

What you’ll do

  • Analyze website traffic and user interaction
  • Research competitor websites and LinkedIn presence
  • Perform keyword research to improve website SEO
  • Improve presentation of blog posts to create stickiness
  • Assist with design and formatting of written materials

What you need to have to be considered

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, WordPress and/or Canva etc. is a plus
  • Previous experience in digital marketing and/or communications is preferred
  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (internship is for academic credit only), and adhere to your institution’s policies and procedures to obtain course credit for internship

This is a remote, unpaid internship but may be eligible for academic credit at the discretion of your school. The time commitment is 8 – 12 hours/week (adjustable based on school requirements).
