Business Development Associate Job Description

The Business Development Associate is a newly created part-time position at Point Road Group, a global personal branding firm that helps companies make better brand impressions through their people. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving revenue and business growth.

You’ll plan business development strategies, conduct research and outreach to support them and play a key role in client pitches. You’ll collaborate with marketing and others to attract new clients and build solid relationships with them.

We’re a small, highly collaborative team and love what we do. We work remotely, but make a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together.

If you enjoy connecting with people and are resourceful, extremely detailed-oriented and motivated to find creative ways to market our services and increase sales, then you’re the right fit for this role. It’s also very important that you’re confident and comfortable communicating with senior executives.

This is a remote role that’s 100% commission-based with attractive incremental compensation for success. As you know, and as The Muse reiterates, when looking for a high-paying role, sales is #1 to consider. This is a part-time role, but if you’re successful, you can grow it into a full-time position.

What you’ll do

  • Develop an action plan (measurable on a weekly and monthly basis) to generate leads and prospects
  • Conduct lead generation research using LinkedIn and other platforms
  • Track data in our CRM
  • Write detailed emails and proposals to potential clients
  • Conduct consult calls with potential clients
  • Build relationships with executives and senior professionals and track results

What you must have to be considered

  • 1-2 years of experience in a lead generation sales or business development role
  • Substantial knowledge of LinkedIn (and a personal profile that reflects it)
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Strong business writing skills (which are evident in your cover letter)
  • Bachelor’s degree

Senior Consultant Job Description

The Senior Consultant position is a part-time client-facing role at Point Road Group, a global personal branding firm that helps companies make better brand impressions through their people. We’re a small, highly collaborative team and love what we do. We work remotely but make a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together.

If you enjoy advising or coaching C-Suite Executives (and have formal experience doing so) and are an expert at writing LinkedIn profiles and resumes from scratch (particularly for those seeking board seats), then you’d be a great addition to our team! For this role, it’s important that you have a topline understanding of the board of directors space and familiarity with what makes a resume, bio and LinkedIn profile board-relevant.

Lastly, we practice what we preach, so it’s also critical that you have an impeccable presence on video meetings and LinkedIn.

What you’ll do

  • Provide personal branding & executive presence guidance to clients to drive visibility and business success
  • Write LinkedIn profiles, bios & resumes from scratch for executives
  • Help executives with personal branding for board seats

The Digital Marketing Associate is a part-time remote role at Point Road Group, a global personal branding firm that helps companies make better brand impressions through their people. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in driving brand awareness and growth.

You’ll plan social media strategy (with a focus on LinkedIn) and email marketing campaigns. You’ll collaborate with areas of marketing to increase brand awareness, attract new clients and build relationships.

We’re a small, highly collaborative team and love what we do. We work remotely, but make a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together.

If you enjoy writing, finding creative ways to communicate, are very resourceful and detail-oriented, then you’re the right fit for this position.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain weekly social media calendar for LinkedIn and Google My Business
  • Write/post original content & research/post external content
  • Manage post engagement
  • Coordinate LinkedIn advertising campaigns
  • Set up and manage monthly newsletter and email campaigns (including drafting selected content)
  • Analyze social media and newsletter metrics to make recommendations based on insights

Digital Marketing Intern Job Description

The Digital Marketing Internship is a remote role at Point Road Group, a global personal branding firm that helps companies make better brand impressions through their people. It’s a unique opportunity for experiential learning with various aspects of digital marketing that directly impact our initiatives.

We’re a small, highly collaborative team that works remotely but makes a real effort to feel like we’re in an office together. We also love what we do and lead by example to help our student interns with personal branding and career development.

You’ll have a chance to learn and hone a variety of marketing, branding and communications skills while receiving supportive guidance to drive success. And the more capability and initiative you show, the more areas you can get involved in!

If you are very detailed oriented, well organized and enjoy thinking both creatively and analytically, then you’re a great fit for this internship!

This is an unpaid internship but may be eligible for academic credit at the discretion of your school. The time commitment is 10 – 20 hours/week (adjustable based on school requirements).

What you’ll do

  • Perform monthly metrics analysis of web, social and email marketing activities
  • Assist with improving presentation and SEO of blog posts
  • Research competitor social media and web presence
  • Assess website usability and make recommendations based on insights
  • Perform keyword research to improve website SEO

What you need to have to be considered

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, MailChimp and/or WordPress is preferred
  • Previous experience in digital marketing and/or communications is preferred
  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (internship is for academic credit only), and adhere to your institution’s policies and procedures to obtain course credit for internship

This is a remote position with flexibility in working hours. The internship is unpaid, but may be eligible for academic credit at the discretion of your school.
